Amtico Floor Laid Over Specialist Underlay System
- Client: Private Residence in Central London.
- Brief: To install Amtico Spacia Woodstrip Honey Oak over an existing carpet and 3 layers of insulation.
- The solution: Firstly a baseboard with an isolating and levelling layer was laid over the carpet. A top board was adhered to the baseboard allowing this subfloor to be rigid enough to lay the Amtico stripwood. This subfloor also provided effective sound insulation. Doors had to be trimmed to accommodate the extra height.
