Both rubber and linoleum are now available in a wide range of colours:

Altro has introduced two new rubber flooring ranges, developed in response to customer feedback.
Nuvola Cirrus is a smooth rubber for offices, education and healthcare. Its 13 chipped colours are designed to co-ordinate well with Altro safety flooring and Whiterock wall cladding.
Nuvola Cirrus is supplied as a sheet on rolls measuring 1.9m by 14m. It is 2mm thick and replaces Mondofutura.
The second new Altro range is Nuvola Stratus studded rubber tiles, replacing Mondopave. It has 13 colours said to create trendy, cool or vibrant interiors. It is suitable for working areas and locations where physical activity takes place.
The tiles are 500 x 500mm in size, with a thickness of 2.7mm. Both ranges have an A+ BRE Generic Green Code Rating for Rubber Flooring. www.altro.com www.thegreenguide.org.uk
Chroma presents Artigo Mondo multifunctional sustainable rubber flooring. The company, an active member of the Green Building Council, produces an extensive range of tile, sheet and loose lay rubber flooring products for any application, manufacturing over 1.2m sq m rubber products a year from solar energy alone.
The investment in Photovoltaic panels, applied to 7.500sq m of the production facility roof captures the power of solar energy reducing energy consumption, saving 14,400 tonnes of CO2 emissions, the equivalent to planting 250 acres of forest.
Artigo Mondo products are said to exceed environmental requirements set by today’s construction certification standards such as LEED, BREEAM and SKA.

Mapei has developed a range of accredited EC1 low VOC emission adhesives, designed to complement the installation of resilient and textile flooring.
Options for rubber and linoleum flooring include Mapei Ultrabond Eco VS90 and Ultrabond Eco 520, both described as solvent-free and offering exceptional performance and high coverage.
Each formulation is said to be non-staining, non-flammable and suitable for application over heated floors.
Ultrabond Eco VS90 is a universal, high-temperature acrylic adhesive. The ready-to-use product has a paste consistency said to allow for easy trowel application.
Ultrabond Eco 520 is developed for bonding linoleum to all types of internal, absorbent and moisture stable substrates. It is also designed for use in environments subject to intense traffic and wheelchair use.
Both products are said to be suitable for use in domestic and commercial buildings, including educational facilities and healthcare environments. www.mapei.co.uk
nora has developed norament 926 satura rubber flooring in collaboration with international architects and designers.
The product is said to offer two worlds of colours for every desired spatial effect. Its 16 neutral architectural colours range from a warm beige through to cool shades of grey, and its 16 chromatic colours, for bright and vibrant design schemes.

The norament 926 satura range is part of the certified nora system blue, which combines nora’s low emission rubber flooring with low emission installation materials. Specially trained installers offer additional assurance.
