Heckmondwike FB brightens up the Night Sky with new colours

Heckmondwike FB is making it even easier for specifiers to create designer carpet in the commercial sector by expanding its popularNight Sky carpet tile range with four exciting new colours.

The new colourways include Red, Blue, Emerald and Steel, which brings the number of options within the Night Sky range to nine. These colours complement the company’s solid shade Broadrib carpet tiles to provide endless creative design possibilities.

The additional Night Sky colourways have been released after Heckmondwike FB carried out in-depth research into popular colours and trends in the retail and office markets.

Heckmondwike FB’s heavy contract Night Sky carpet tile is a contemporary twist on the traditional plain tile. With the popular charcoal colourway as its base, Night Sky features accent colours punched through to create a stunning effect with a ‘designer’ feel.

Heckmondwike FB’s Marketing Manager, Sharni Verity, explains: “We are really excited about these latest additions to the Night Sky range. It’s less than a year since Night Sky was launched and it is becoming renowned for bringing a designer feel to workplaces across the UK. The new colours will make it even easier for specifiers to create designer carpet in offices and other commercial environments.”

As part of Heckmondwike FB’s Creative Flooring range, Night Sky represents the perfect opportunity for specifiers, designers and flooring contractors to create individual designs for a wide variety of commercial flooring applications.

Like all of Heckmondwike FB’s products, Night Sky carpet tiles can be cut on-site without the risk of fraying and this allows individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.

Night Sky carpet tiles are British-made and provide outstanding performance, as well as being backed by a 10 year limited wear warranty, which means they can be specified in complete confidence.

As with the rest of Heckmondwike FB’s collection, Night Sky carpet tiles offer antistatic and anti-slip performance, excellent acoustic properties to help reduce noise levels, as well as excellent thermal performance.

Heckmondwike FB’s Creative Flooring Range consists of the renowned Array and Montage carpet ranges, which are widely specified in the office sectors.

Heckmondwike FB’s acoustic option for tiles is a sound solution

Heckmondwike FB has released an acoustic option for its complete carpet tile range.

This latest innovation, which will be welcomed by specifiers in the education, public sector and office sectors, will see carpet tiles featuring an acoustic layer to help keep noise transmission to an acceptable level. When used in the workplace, the tiles’ sound deadening abilities will also make it easier for organisations to meet the 2006 ‘Noise at Work’ regulations, ensuring a healthy and productive environment.

Sharni Verity, Marketing Manager at Heckmondwike FB, said: “Many of our carpet ranges have acoustic properties but this is the first time it has been applied to a carpet tile.  We released this exciting new innovation in response to demand from specifiers working in education, public sector and office environments, as noise transmission is a growing problem in many different settings.”

Each of Heckmondwike FB’s 11 carpet tile ranges will be available with an acoustic option including Supacord, which is widely specified in the education sector, and Array and Night Sky, from the company’s creative range. Other carpet tile ranges which will benefit from the added acoustic option include Broadrib, Hobnail and the company’s popular entrance tile range, Diamond.

Heckmondwike FB is one of the leading carpet suppliers to the education, commercial and public sectors and is well-known for the excellent value, durability and high performance of its products.

Riverside Student Accommodation

Students living in the Riverside apartments in Salford are guaranteed a bright start to their day after Array carpet tiles from Heckmondwike FB were specified for the development’s corridors.

The carpet was specified by HVB Flooring to refurbish the four storey development, which aims to set a new standard for student living in the North West.

HVB Flooring carefully selected a different Array colour for each level, which included Red and Blue, as well as the new colours Peacock and Marble, to create a striking interior to the building. Complementary Broadrib colours were used alongside Array to give the interior of the apartment block a bright, welcoming feel. Blocks of colour were also used to highlight the location of the lift.

All 50 apartments in the development will now be carpeted with Array to meet the standard set by the new corridor flooring.

Sharni Verity, Marketing Executive at Heckmondwike FB, said: “Array is becoming increasingly popular for student accommodation as it offers stunning aesthetics, as well as the durability and performance of our fibre bonded carpet.  The wide range of colours now available in the Array range mean that some really inspiring designs can be created.”

Array can be installed quickly and easily, which was essential to this development as the refurbishment took place during term time, when the flats were occupied.

Lee Rawsthorne, Director of HVB Flooring, said: “We have specified Array on many projects before, due to its high level of aesthetics and outstanding properties. It was the perfect choice for the corridors and will look great in each of the rooms, too.”

As part of Heckmondwike FB’s Creative Flooring range, Array represents the perfect opportunity for specifiers, designers and flooring contractors to create individual designs for a wide variety of residential flooring applications.

Like all Heckmondwike’s products, Array carpet tiles can be cut on-site without the risk of fraying. The tiles offer antistatic and anti-slip performance, excellent acoustic properties to help reduce noise levels, as well as offering excellent thermal performance.

Array carpet tiles are British-made and provide outstanding performance, as well as being backed by a 10 year limited wear warranty, which means they can be specified in complete confidence.

Great Success of Array New Colours

The trend towards colourful carpet and research showing how certain colours motivate and inspire the workforce has contributed towards a huge increase in demand for the exciting new colours to the Array range from Heckmondwike FB.

The leading commercial fibre bonded carpet manufacturer added six exciting new colours to its Array carpet tile range six months ago and has seen particularly strong demand for its Emerald and Violet colourways for public and private sector office refurbishments.

Heckmondwike FB’s Commercial Manager, Abby Chandler, explains: “The Array range has had a tremendous response since we launched the new colours this spring. Designers have been able to create some truly inspirational commercial interiors with the wide range of colours available and it is fantastic to see workplaces being totally transformed and reinvigorated. Research has shown how colour in the workplace can have an impact on productivity and these stunning new colours are taking design in carpet tiles to a whole new level.”

The six latest additions to the Array range included Copper, Marble, Peacock, Violet, Emerald and Fuchsia, which brought the number of options within the Array range to 12.

These colourways were chosen to reflect current trends in furniture design and seating, which has enhanced the appeal of Array for even more public and private sector commercial projects.

Heckmondwike FB’s heavy contract Array carpet tiles feature a mid-width rib design, with a charcoal background enhanced with a subtle linear pattern. This stylish design co-ordinates perfectly with the company’s Broadrib carpet tiles in a complementary solid shade to provide a stunning effect and endless creative design possibilities.

As part of Heckmondwike FB’s Creative Flooring range, Array represents the perfect opportunity for specifiers, designers and flooring contractors to create individual designs for a wide variety of commercial flooring applications. Being able to add this element of high design creates a fusion between the floor and furniture.

Like all Heckmondwike’s products, Array carpet tiles can be cut on-site without the risk of fraying and this allows individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.

Array carpet tiles are British-made and provide outstanding performance, as well as being backed by a 10 year limited wear warranty, which means they can be specified in complete confidence.

In common with the rest of Heckmondwike FB’s collection, Array carpet tiles offer antistatic and anti-slip performance, excellent acoustic properties to help reduce noise levels, as well as offering excellent thermal performance.

Mark Hughes, Principal/Chief Executive of St John’s School & College, said: “It was a great surprise to receive this fantastic prize.  The matting with our logo will create an instant impression at the entrance to the college and the new carpet in the business centre will make a very big difference to all who use it.”

Plenty of ‘Space’ at Hampshire Office Refurbishment

Digital company LiveLink Tech Ltd has demonstrated how creative carpet design can set the tone for the whole building at its new offices in Havant.

The company specified 60m2 of Supacord tiles in Graphite, Steel Grey and Red for the refurbished former Havant Council building, working with nationwide flooring contractor Enhanced Floors.

Enhanced Floors recommended that LiveLink chose Supacord by Heckmondwike FB because of its wide choice of colours and its durability.

Geoff Youngs, Technical Director at LiveLink, wanted a Space Invaders’ theme to his office. He liked the idea of using the floor space to create an eye-catching design, which was possible due to the versatility of Supacord tiles.

Graphite was used for the background colourway, with Steel Grey chosen for the alien’s body and Red for the eyes, creating a result that was inspired by the design of the original 1978 arcade game.

The whole impact was enhanced with black window frames, red window sills and a large glass door etched with a screen shot from the retro game.

Geoff Youngs said: “”Personalisation is at the core of our business, both for our clients and our clients’ clients. We wanted to create a working environment that reflects both our culture and our strategic priorities. The vibrant carpet tiles gave us the freedom we are used to with computers to personalise the floor with pixels.  The result looks fantastic and has generated lots of positive comments from everyone who has seen it.”

Andrew Bradley, Director at Enhanced Floors, said: “We have worked with Heckmondwike FB for over 20 years and Supacord can be relied upon to provide good performance over the long term.  It was the obvious choice for us to recommend it for creating the striking impression that LiveLink wanted to create!”

Sharni Verity, Marketing Executive at Heckmondwike FB, said: “Supacord was perfect for this project and the Space Invaders design looks amazing! It just goes to show that there should be no limit to what can be achieved with Supacord because of the wide choice of colours we offer.  LiveLink will also have the reassurance that Supacord is known as one of the most hardwearing fibre bonded carpets on the market.”

Supacord’s tough, fibre bonded construction means it is strong enough to withstand heavy footfall, whilst retaining its appearance. Supacord is a very popular choice for a wide range of heavy traffic environments, from offices to schools.

Supacord is available in both sheet and tile formats and with 42 different colour options, it has unique design capabilities since it does not ravel or fray. This means that both the sheets and tiles can be cut on site to create stylish and engaging flooring designs.
