London Build 2018 – London’s Leading Construction Show

This year the London Build will be held in a new and far more bigger place-Olympia London. It will take place on 23-24 October. The change was needed due to the growing interest in the exhibition and the wish of exhibitors to showcase larger equipment, plants, cabins and modular buildings.

Oliver Kinross – the creator of the London Build, originated from a background as a conference organiser. Yet he still remains committed to keeping content at the very heart of the show. This has proven crucial in attracting high-level attendees and satisfying the increase in demands of exhibition visitors. The exhibition has been the platform that identified an opportunity for the international construction show which focused on the opportunities in the economic powerhouse of London and the surroundings.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer’s budget has identified in November that the UK needs to build a staggering 300,000 new homes per year and many of these new homes need to be in the capital. The purpose for that is to sustain the population growth rate which is twice that of the rest of the UK. In few years London will reach the status of world ‘megacity’ and a population of over 10m. Never before in the history of London has the challenge been greater for building and sustaining homes and infrastructure.

London Build has developed special zones that cover infrastructure, buildings, fire & safety, plant & machinery, digital construction, sustainability and interiors. In the 2018 international show over 1,000 exhibitors are expected. The organisers will be leveraging the worldwide know-how and client base in order to add new international pavilions to London Build. Furthermore, they will be providing a World Build area on the show floor for London construction professionals and learn more about opportunities in high-growth overseas markets, including Africa and the Middle East.

It is expected that the appetite of UK construction companies for doing business in non-EU markets will further heighten after the Brexit. That is why there are vast potential and possibilities of London Build 2018 to be beyond exciting.
