Among the exhibitors at Domotex this year (January 11-14) are:
Aboritec (Hall 7, Stand E22) will show its complete range of its ceramic-fortified floor lacquers, oils, and maintenance products. UVElite is the company’s site-applied, instantly UV-curing durable water-based lacquer for commercial floor finishes. Instant cure technologies are said to help contractors offer increased commercial up time and less disruption of household settings with no early use damage.
Miracle Oil will also be featured. This two-component floor oil is said to be built for speed. It is designed to penetrate the floor quickly to achieve the look of natural wood, in an array of mixable colours, while protecting with one application. Miracle Oil can also be re-coated with any of the company’s two-component 100% PU lacquers.

Balta Group (Hall 6, Stand A30) will feature product updates and additions to its substantial portfolio of residential and commercial carpets.
Balta Broadloom will exhibit alongside sister brands ITC and Balta Rugs. Several new lines will be launched, including products with new Sensit fibre such as Sensit Supreme, Sensit Twist, and Sensit Infinity. With a dense filament count yet fine and transparent structure, the new polypropylene fibre is said to blend a silky sheen and lustre with high performance and easy maintenance properties, designed for the UK market.
Also introduced will be Melrose and Paramount Twist, featuring Balta’s newest X-Tron extra strong yarn. Woollen ranges will include the established berber classic Corsa updated and relaunched, and a 65oz 80/20 wool twist called Royal Signature Twist. www.baltagroup.com

British Wool Marketing Board (BWMB) (Hall 6, Stand C11) will promote the fibre and British Wool products from licensed manufacturers. The stand largely acts as a business centre providing a base for BWMB licensed members of the textile industry to meet customers and agents.
‘We see our role at the show to enable our licensees to do business,’ says Tim Booth, new marketing manager of BWMB.
He will be on the stand along with, Timothy Pulleyn, BWMB and Bridgette Kelly, BWMB’s consultant for the Campaign for Wool.
He adds: ‘Every year we see UK companies visiting Domotex. They appreciate the facilities on the British Wool stand. Our facilities enable them to host meetings and somewhere to return to in between appointments.’
Carpenter (Hall 5, Stand F44) will showcase its range of PU underlay products. It will unveil Midas 12 as a 12mm ‘underlay for modern living’, launched following Midas 8 and 10.
The company produces 14 ranges of PU underlay for the domestic, commercial and marine markets, with all products being made from recycled material and being fully recyclable at the end of life.
Carpenter will also promote its underlay recycling scheme, which gives its wholesalers recycling bins for uplifts and unused off-cuts from fitters, which are then collected ready to be recycled. The scheme operates in 22 regions, including Scotland. T: 01457 861141
F Ball and Co (Hall 7, Stand B45), UK manufacturer of flooring adhesives and subfloor preparation products, will showcase its latest generation of subfloor solutions, including Stopgap 1200 Pro, Stopgap 1100 Gypsum and Stopgap 460 exterior repair smoothing underlayments, as well as Stopgap F77 and Stopgap F78 waterproof surface membranes.
Stopgap 1200 Pro floor smoothing underlayment is said to be suitable for direct application over adhesive residues, without the need to mechanically prepare the subfloor and in most cases, without priming.
Recently launched Stopgap F77 one-coat waterproof surface membrane is designed to offer protection against damp and excess moisture in subfloors, and is suitable for almost any flooring installation, including application over underfloor heating systems.
F. Ball’s first water-based moisture management system, Stopgap F78, is described as a fast-drying, ready-mixed alternative to epoxy-resin systems. Granorte (Hall 9 Stand D58) will feature its cork collections, including the latest developments to the Vita range, said to show clarity and visual results achieved by employing advanced high definition digital printing. Several new colourways and new surface texture options will be unveiled.

InstaFloor (Hall 6, Stand H16) will exhibit its range of high performance solutions, InstaLay, InstaCradle and InstaSport.
InstaLay is described as an innovative, environmentally friendly, acoustic underlay system that is extremely quick and easy to install. Normally loose laid, it incorporates an adhesive membrane that eliminates messy wet adhesives and delays to significantly reduce installation times and costs. Said to be durable, stable and providing exceptional underfoot comfort, InstaLay is suitable for solid and engineered wood, laminates, bamboo, LVT, vinyl, carpet tiles and carpets.
InstaSport and InstaCradle acoustic/sprung undercarriage floors use a rubber crumb cradle guaranteed for 60 years. These adjustable raised floor systems, with a service void, include on-site levelling and remove the need for wet screeds. All InstaFloor products exhibited are made from recycled rubber crumb granules.

Interfloor (Hall 7, Stand A45) aims to establish new partnerships at Domotex to expand into high-growth markets worldwide. The company already has customers in over 70 countries worldwide including China and South East Asia, and reports making inroads in the Middle East.
Interfloor has also become the preferred underlay supplier for major international hotel chains worldwide, recently receiving its largest single underlay export order – over 150,000sq m.
‘Our international success is based on the enduring strength of our brands, product quality, customer service and growing range,’ says export director Tony Capon.
Interfloor, said to be the largest British-owned underlay manufacturer, also supplies flooring accessories with a portfolio of over 800 items, including carpet gripper, profiles, adhesives, tapes and fitting tools. It claims to be the only manufacturer to use Russian birch, described as a superior plywood for gripper because of its strength and consistency.
Interfloor will exhibit the extended range of Stikatak adhesives; Tredaire and Duralay underlays, including Technics and Durafit double stick underlays; plus its new flame retardant PU Tredaire FR7 a 7mm ultra high density (145 kg/cu m) underlay.

Lano Carpets (Hall 5, Stand B16), now distributor of Mohawk to the European market, will present its portfolio of commercial and residential carpets, including Smartstrand and Everstrand carpet ranges.
Mohawk qualities shown include ranges made with Smartstrand, said to offer built-in stain resistance, durability and soft texture. New ranges from Lano include Treasure; a luxurious cutpile comprising eco-friendly Perlana fibres with 100% recycled content.
Venice Wilton, Zen Heather with a new two-tone finish and Heavy Loop Bamboo join the Bamboo collection, featuring 40% Bamboo content mixed with soft polyamide.
There will also be new colourways for the polyamide Godiva, Zen, Satine, Smaragd and polypropylene collections Heathertwist & Xtratwist. The recently launched Startwist Elite quality, part of the enhanced 20th year carpet anniversary range, will also be shown with its improved two-ply Lanoset polypropylene fibre.
For commercial applications, Lano Flooring Solutions brand will showcase Axminster options provided by the Walk of Fame collection, the Cameleon and Colour Concepts and the Carve, Opera & Suite Concepts, to the bespoke design service for larger projects. In addition, a new wool loop Jaudon quality will be launched.

Osmo (Hall 8, Stand C23) will launch its new corporate website and display a its products in a newly designed booth designed to provide visitors with more space to view products and engage in conversation with the team.
Products on show will include Polyx-Oil Original, Polyx-Oil Rapid, Polyx-Oil Raw and Polyx-Oil Tints, plus the newest product in the range, Polyx-Oil Gloss.
This premium wood finish range is guaranteed to keep wooden surfaces in top condition. Described as a high quality, water-repellent and tread-resistant wood finish based on natural ingredients, this range is said to be suitable for solid engineered or laminate wood floors.
Available in a matt, clear and satin-matt finishes, Polyx Oil is claimed to offer the highest coverage of any oil on the market: 2.5 litres can cover around 30sq m with two coats.

Woca (Hall 7, Stand C21) will launch a new oil system for wooden floors, said to be completely ‘invisible’ and designed to keep the appearance of sanded oak. It reportedly reveals all the benefits of a hard-wearing oiled finish with the appearance of a sanded floor!
The oil is designed to delay the natural effect of daylight and stop the yellowing; the newly sanded appearance remains intact for many years, according Woca.
First, the product strengthens the wood by using the basic Neutral Oil. Then by applying the Neutral Oil Care, a surface is created which is said to be strong and dirt-repellant. The whole treatment can be done in one-day, it is claimed.

Wools of New Zealand (Hall 5 Stand B 12) has various focal points on its stand: The Laneve studio displaying new and existing Laneve ranges; and the Styling Studio showing predictions for 2015 colours, which will be shown in carpet form in both cut pile and loop pile. A third focal point is an Innovations area. This is the flagship initiative of the show organisers which Wools of New Zealand has embraced, showing its entries to the fitted carpet competition.
The main stand carpets include, firstly, a print made by Halbmond, inspired by the magnificent tiled floors of Italy’s great palazzos and villas, interpreting the style of the textile and fashion designer Emilio Pucci. The second is a three colour 100% wool loop pile Wilton made by New Franco Belge. It is an abstract mosaic frieze design. The stand also includes nine co-exhibitor areas.
The manufacturers comprise:
l Crucial Trading featuring its statement wool offerings in a palette of vibrant shades, textures and patterns;
l Brockway celebrating its 50th anniversary and showing its full range of wool rich tufted carpets and special dye service. Brockway will also trial new developments and concepts.
l Flock will launch three new flatweave ranges to complement its contemporary broadloom collection. Classics is a reworking of traditional chevrons and herringbones; Contemporary are clean, defined geometric designs in elegant colourways; while Retro uses retro graphic patterns in contrasting colours.
l Cormar, a first time exhibitor at Domotex, will major on its wool twists and wool loop pile ranges.
l Westex, back for the fifth year at Domotex, will launch Exquisite, an 80/20 velvet Wilton in 60 colours and five colour matching widths.
l Cavalier, seeking new agents for its expanding export division, will introduce new products including the Couture Collection. It will also illustrate its custom graphics capabilities.
On the spinning side, there are three partners:
l Danspin, a leading European woollen spinning mill, will highlight its Laneve ranges.
l Martinelli will showcase new yarns including a wool braided lustre; a wool boucle; space-dyed wool chenille; a wool cable and a wool/metallic all aimed at interior designers and the contract market.
l Grentex, based in India and the only Laneve brand partner and spinner in Asia, exports all its wool yarns and tops across the world.
