Solid Oak Planks Laid On An Unstable Living Room Floor
- Client: Private Residence North London.
- The brief: To install a Solid Oiled Oak Plank 150mm wide 20mm thick over an existing timber subfloor that was unstable.
- The solution: Firstly existing carpets were removed and the original floorboards lifted , the joists packed out and levelled. The new oak floor was then secret nailred over the existing strengthenend floorboards, skirtings undercut to deal with expansion, and the floor given a final coat of oil.
