DOMOTEX, the world’s leading floorcoverings trade show, takes place from January 11-14 in Hannover, Germany. Some 1,400 companies from 60 nations will exhibit their latest products.
The event features textile and resilient flooring for the residential and contract furnishing sectors, plus carpets, rugs and laminate flooring, as well as floorlaying, care and application solutions.

Exhibitors will be seen by an international audience of 40,000 trade visitors from more than 80 countries. Over 61% of these visitors come from outside Germany, and 90% of them have a say in their organisations’ buying decisions. Visitors include manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, as well as many from the skilled trades architecture and interior design sectors.
New this year is Innovations@DOMOTEX, a dedicated showcase for the latest innovations in fitted carpets, resilient flooring, parquet and laminate flooring and modern hand-made carpets. It will encompass special display zones in halls 6, 9 and 17. The Innovations@DOMOTEX areas will feature platforms for expert dialogue with seminars addressing important flooring topics covering sectors including healthcare, hospitality and education. Each area will offer refreshments and catering, thereby providing a convivial, relaxed setting for B2B networking.
The Wood Flooring Summit in Hall 9 will be another major visitor magnet at Domotex 2014. It will feature a central exhibition area, a forum for presentations and panel discussions, plus a catering area and after-work-party event for informal networking.
Meanwhile, the Skilled Trades Hub in Hall 7 will demonstrate hands-on expertise for flooring installers. It includes the skilled trades forum with its focus on solutions for floorlayers. There will be demonstrations of laying techniques for designer floorcoverings and how to refurbish old floorboards. The forum will also host presentations on effective marketing for flooring tradespeople plus a quiz in which visitors will get to demonstrate their knowledge.
