Haro Quality Flooring

Haro have been a quality flooring supplier since 1866.

Below, Haro explain themselves in their own words to our customers;
Some things change with time: the brickyard and sawmill founded by Franz Paul Hamberger in Rosenheim, Bavaria, in 1866 have grown from a small family business to Germany’s leading parquet manufacturer. Some things never change: after more than 140 years Hamberger is still a true family business. It is managed by the company owners in the fourth and fifth generations. This synthesis of tradition and innovation is also reflected in our HARO brand-name Parquet. At Hamberger, high-quality wood from sustainably managed forests is refined with modern manufacturing processes and innovative technologies to a flooring that upgrades every room and turns your house into a home.

Trust in the quality of HARO and in our knowledge and expertise perfected over five generations.

Hamberger Flooring GmbH & Co. KG is a subsidiary of Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH and responsible for all activities in the floor covering segment. The company, which is run by the Managing Directors Peter Hamberger, Dr. Peter M. Hamberger and Uwe Eifert, offers a product portfolio ranging from parquet, laminate and cork flooring to the exclusive CELENIO wood floor and the parkettmanufaktur premium parquet, and from theDISANO design floor for healthy living to the high-quality sport flooring.

In addition to Hamberger Flooring, Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH also incorporates the Hamberger Sanitary, Hamberger Hardwood and Farming and Forestry divisions.

With more than 2000 employees, the Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH group of companies achieves an annual turnover of approx. 270 million euros. In addition to Germany as the largest single market, the group’s products are exported to more than 90 countries around the world.
As a family business, we have a long tradition of quality craftsmanship and we manufacture all our products in Germany. With our employees’ expertise and our decades of experience in producing parquet, we offer you brand-name quality made in Germany – made by HARO. Take the bonding of the different layers for our parquet flooring, for example. As a global provider, we have to make sure that our parquet boards are just as durable in the tropics as they are on the polar circle. Therefore, we invest in developing bonding technologies that meet the most stringent requirements. So much effort comes with a price, but this price is value for money. It is not by chance that we hold a leading position in the development, production and installation of sports flooring in major arenas around the world. Our HARO Sports Floors show their true class under harshest conditions, such as at the Olympic Games. And you can directly benefit from this. Creating quality of life demands an in-depth knowledge of customer needs and desires. Setting – rather than chasing – trends requires a fine sense for social developments and the ability to anticipate the needs of the times. All this is essential in order to provide the innovations that will be needed in the construction industry in the future. Innovation driver HARO is going full speed ahead, as our cutting-edge developments over the last few years have shown: from the Spa Parquet specially developed for installation in bathrooms to the finely crafted premium flooring from our parkettmanufaktur; from the environmentally friendly clean & green floor care series to sunProtect, the first UV protection for long-lasting colour stability – our innovations create more quality of life in your home. There is one area that we particularly care about: barrier-free living. In view of the fact that the society is growing older in many countries around the world, we believe that it is essential to develop appropriate products that make an independent and self-determined life as easy as possible. At HARO you can get everything from a single source: practical aids for daily living that also give a stylish appearance. For us, style and function are complementary, not contradictory.

HARO brand name parquet reflects decades of experience and the high quality standards of a medium-sized family business combined with many innovative solutions that make our floors so easy to install, use and maintain. From the glueless Lock Connect, Top Connect and ComforTecinstallation systems to the high-quality PERMADUR, bioTec and naturaLin natural oil surface finishes and from the Silent Pro luxury insulation underlays to the aquaShield moisture protection, HARO’s research and development engineers are continuously looking for – and finding – new ways to craft the wood raw material into parquet you will enjoy for decades from the very first moment on.
Anyone who, like us, manufactures products from natural materials knows that we must work with nature, not against it. Our more than 140-year family history gives a measure of the importance we attach to the principles of sustainability in our daily work. So it comes as no surprise that we were the first parquet brand in Germany to be 100% PEFC certified. In concrete terms, it means that the majority of the wood we use is sourced from within Europe. In this way, we can achieve short transport distances with a significantlyreduced ecological footprint. 2/3 of the spruce we use for the subconstruction of HARO PARQUET even comes directly from the surrounding area.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies are a step in the right direction – also from an environmental point of view: they ensure an efficient utilisation of the raw materials and thus help to prevent the waste of valuable resources. Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected in our energy supply: already since 1971 we have been using the waste wood from our production to generate green energy, which we not only use for our own company, but also feed into the local power grid.Hamberger was one of the first companies in the woodworking industry to be certified according to DIN EN 14001 in 1998 and has been validated to the EU Eco Audit: As a company proudly rooted in the Bavarian region – and in a long tradition – we live by high environmental standards as you can immediately see from the”Blue Angel” eco label awarded to our products.

Creating Elegant Interiors – New trend towards parquet flooring with a subtle, refined look

Rosenheim – At this year’s Domotex trade show for floor coverings and the imm Cologne furniture trade show, some truly exquisite eye-catchers adorned the floors: extravagant, vintage style oriental rugs. Colour designs on walls are also coming back into focus. These are key drivers behind the emerging trend towards parquet floors with a more subtle look, which provide the perfect setting for luxurious rugs and create a pleasant contrast to vibrant wall colours. Rustic plank flooring is still in strong demand. In parallel to the character floors HARO, Germany’s leading parquet brand, also addresses the upcoming trend towards very elegant styles: Longstrips and Plank 1-Strips with subtle grain patterns and brushed natural-oil surfaces that are also available in trendy whites.

HARO has launched two Longstrip Oak and two Plank 1-Strip Oak designs – each in a natural oiled and a white oiled version – to expand the Elegant Line of its parquet range. High-class grades with a uniform texture and hardly any knots express a new natural elegance. With the state-of-the-art naturaLin plus natural oil finish, the brushed surface, and bevels on all four sides for the Plank 1-Strips, they are the new stars at the elegant end of HARO’s wide range of trend parquets.

Oiled parquet floors in retro look are effortless to clean and maintain. The eco-friendly cleaning product clean & green natural and the clean & green aqua oil for floor care make parquet maintenance a quick, easy and simple task. The floor surface can be used again only two hours after application

Rosenheim – They don’t creak and they are easy to install and maintain. And yet the Plank 1-Strip Oak retro brushed parquets from HARO add a touch of nostalgia like a time-worn wood floor. Their completely natural surface texture, which is achieved without any artificial alterations, gives the room that certain something. With slightly raised knot areas, a vibrant grain and the naturaLin plus natural oil finish, the 2.20 m (86 5/8”) long floor boards radiate the charm of bygone times.

They combine all the positive visual attributes of an expressive solid wood floor with the advantages offered by engineered multi-layer parquet, such as easy installation and minimised gap formation through indoor climate changes. Classical like Oak Sauvage or Oak Sauvage Tobacco Grey, these wood floors not only fit in well with a country style, but also with clean-cut modern interiors. The Retro family now comprises four products. New to the range is Plank 1-Strip retro brushed Creme White that meets two trends at a time: rustic design and trendy white colour. Oak Atelier is an exciting product that best reflects the retro trend. It looks like a painted solid wood floor where the paint has worn away in places after decades of use. The pleasant light colour gives the rustic design a friendly, welcoming feel – shabby chic for the floor!

Oiled parquet floors in retro look are effortless to clean and maintain. The eco-friendly cleaning product clean & green natural and the clean & green aqua oil for floor care make parquet maintenance a quick, easy and simple task.

Düsseldorf – Jeans become prettier the more often you wear them. With the right care, also parquet floors become more beautiful with time. For this reason, parquet by HARO was used for Germany’s biggest flagship store of the Turkish fashion company Mavi, one of the world’s largest jeans producers. Flooring contractor “GPlan Laden- und Innenausbau GmbH” was convinced by the tough characteristics of the brand-name parquet floor already in the Telekom® shops.

285 m² (3,067 sq feet) of the “small“ plank HARO Parquet 4000 “Toscana” in the popular wood type Smoked Oak and the especially durable Permadur matt surface are the ideal catwalk for the collections of the famous fashion label from Turkey. Due to its handy dimensions of 120 x 1000 mm (4 23/32’’ x 39 3/8’’) HARO Plank Toscana is not only easy and quick to install but also flexible for the use in rooms of different sizes.

In the shop that is over 300 m² (3,229 sq feet) large, the world-wide new concept by Mavi was implemented for the first time. Besides the typical “Denim Wall” for the presentation of the jeans models it now also includes the “Denim Kitchen”. The Denim Kitchen shows all ingredients that are necessary for the jeans production and it is regarded as the social centre and therefore the contact point for the customers. The HARO Plank Toscana in Smoked Oak is the perfect fit, just like perfectly cut jeans, and it suits the extraordinary design concept.
After Berlin and Frankfurt, Mavi opened its third German flagship store in the metropolis on the Rhine; further openings are already planned. With parquet from Bavaria as the perfect stage, of course.

About Mavi
The company, founded in Istanbul in 1991, sells its products in more than 50 countries. World-wide it runs 200 stores, among those flagships in New York, Vancouver, Montreal and Istanbul. There are already three flagships in Germany as well, namely in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf, w

New from HARO: The World’s Quietest Laminate Floor – The “sneaker” among laminate floors

Rosenheim – Innovative “Made in Germany” products are a tradition at Hamberger, the parquet and hard-surface floor manufacturer. The company’s developers have once again achieved an impressive breakthrough with the “HARO TRITTY Silent CT” Laminate Floor. Compared with laminate floors with conventional insulation, the HARO TRITTY Silent CT provides reduced room sound of more than 60%, and is therefore currently the quietest laminate floor around.

The home “lives” – and HARO Tritty Silent CT helps it to!
Being at home means being “well” — the demands on the quality and aesthetics of floors in particular are accordingly high. Even if high-grade laminate is now optically almost indistinguishable from real parquet — the reputation of being “loud” and returning noises almost unfiltered back into the room, continues to hamper laminate floors. Another breakthrough has once again been achieved here with the ComforTec technology available exclusively from HARO. Independent measurements at the renowned Wood Technology Institute in Dresden prove: compared with laminate floors with conventional insulation, HARO TRITTY Silent CT reduces room sound by more than 60%. Whether it be children playing with building bricks or the dog trotting through the living room: the noise level is kept low and the pleasant home-life atmosphere is undisturbed.

So quiet! And why?
With the new quiet HARO “TRITTY Silent CT” Laminate Floors, adhesive strips are already applied to the back of the individual floorboards at the factory, and these are then easily and stably fixed to the subfloor later on with the installation. This ComforTec technology enables an optimum connection between the screed and the laminate floor, so that room sound has almost no chance of bouncing back. An especially pleasant walking feeling is also provided – one which has never been felt before with laminate floors.

Quiet, healthy and easy to install
As the adhesive strips are produced on a synthetic rubber basis, the system is absolutely solvent free. Just like all HARO Laminate Floors, the HARO TRITTY Silent CT also carries the “Blue Angel” eco label. And thanks to the Top Connect high performance installation system, the floor is installed incredibly quick and easy by hand. The new “sneaker-sound” floor is available in 22 eye-catching styles. Every HARO Laminate Floor in the TRITTY 75, 100 and 250 series can be optionally equipped with the new technology from 2011

Bring the tiger into your home! Exceptional floor design with HARO Corkett Tigra

Elegant and agile, a tiger stands out with its fascinating stripe patterned fur: he reigns supreme over the big cats. Individualists that are always on the lookout for that special touch when furnishing, can now put the “tiger” into their house. HARO Corkett Tigra provides the magic of a tiger skin on the living room floor. The result is a new, exclusive room feeling – unmistakably elegant in its vibrancy, just like the tiger and its stripes!

His patterned fur inspired the development of this exclusive floor. It uses the lines of the fur’s colours – an elegant black combined with a warm dark brown. Earthy colours radiate natural warmth and thanks to the original design give the floor an air of exclusivity.

HARO Corkett Tigra is therefore the right choice for anyone that wants to create a distinctive atmosphere, and despite eagerness to experiment, truly believes in the importance of quality. HARO’s new cork floor combines a unique design with a material that is the best that nature provides for the home in terms of ecology, building biology and ergonomics. Cork offers excellent foot warmth, is extremely durable against all kinds of stresses, and achieves perfect heat and sound insulation.

With its high elasticity, the floor has a relieving effect on the joints and spine with every step. A true “health spring” just at your feet.

HARO parquet – the number one brand to be 100% PEFC certified PEFC label now also for individual products

Rosenheim – Since 1 May 2010, Hamberger is the first major manufacturer to label all the HARO parquet floors as “100% PEFC” certified. Germany’s leading parquet manufacturer provides its dealers with another key sales argument for high-quality brand floors “Made in Germany”. The end consumer recognizes at first glance that the floors are made with a natural product which originates from certified and sustainably managed forests.

Hamberger Flooring, which uses more than 90% of European wood types, is already PEFC certified since 2002. The company thus supports regional forestry while reducing at the same time environmentally harmful transportation. With the hardwood sawmill established in 2007 in Kleinostheim close to Aschaffenburg, Hamberger covers most of the increasing raw material demand for its own parquet production in Rosenheim, making it one of Germany’s leading hardwood sawmills. The wood used for production originates mostly from sustainable forestry, which focuses amongst others on finding the right balance for forests.

Enjoy Pure Nature Longstrip parquet with natural oil finish

Rosenheim – Despite the growing share of plank 1-strip sales, longstrip still accounts for 63% of sales in the engineered parquet segment according to a study of the German floor covering market conducted by ACNielsen. Following the successful launch of HARO Plank 1-Strip naturaLin plus® and HARO 2-Ply Strips naturaLin®, Hamberger has now added the new HARO Parquet 4000 Longstrip naturaLin plus® to its 2010 portfolio. The German parquet specialist is thus one of the first parquet manufacturers to offer ready-to-use longstrip parquet that is pre-oiled at the factory with a breathable natural oil finish.

The special naturaLin® finish was developed by Hamberger to create an authentic surface texture enabling end users to enjoy the pure nature of real wood. The parquet floor is treated with a high-quality natural oil that is given time to dry slowly in air. This way it is thoroughly absorbed into the wood pores. The oil is applied twice and left to dry for about 24 hours after each coat. The outcome is a surface that can be used immediately after installation, has a warm and pleasant feel and a very natural look. In addition, it is easy to maintain by giving it a damp wipe with naturaLin® Soap. The HARO Parquet 4000 Longstrip naturaLin plus® series comes with the new Top Connect® system for quick and simple installation and features eight different models in the most popular wood species, including beech, oak and walnut.

HARO stands for 60 years of experience in the parquet business. This expertise is reflected in more than 200 parquet products featuring over 20 wood species, eleven grades, eight designs, and an extensive range of colours from light to dark. With Permadur, bioTec oil/wax and naturaLin natural oil, Hamberger offers a choice of different surface finishes to accommodate different tastes and requirements and to provide lasting protection for the floor. All Hamberger parquet floors are quality made in Germany and come with up to 30 years warranty.

Laminate Floor from the Parquet Specialist Trading up HARO Tritty 250 in the highest performance class

Rosenheim – Hamberger’s successful trade-up strategy for the HARO Tritty 75 and 100 series has positioned the German parquet specialist as a premium supplier of laminate flooring. HARO is now extending the strategy to HARO Tritty 250, its top-of-the-line laminate floor series, with focus on the contract and upmarket consumer segments. Another top-class feature of HARO Tritty 100 and HARO Tritty 250 is the innovative Top Connect® system, which makes the laminate floors exceedingly safe and easy to install.

The HARO Tritty 250 line comprises 14 models in different classical and contemporary styles, ranging from standard wood decors to the trend colours white and grey. The classical oak, maple, beech and walnut styles cater particularly to the contract segment. The perfect wood reproductions reflect HARO’s strongest trumps: 60 years of experience and know-how in the manufacture of high-quality parquet. Contemporary styles, such as HARO Laminate Floor Tritty 250 plank 1-strip Celtic Oak or Silver Olive, are primarily aimed at design-conscious consumers.

Whether installed as floating floors or fully glued down, with Top Connect® and ComforTec, HARO has created the ideal combination of installation speed and professional floor laying.

New naturalness – HARO Parquet with natural oil surface finish.

See, feel and smell wood! With different planks with the ready-to-use natural oil surface, naturaLin plus, the parquet specialist HARO brings you a new level of naturalness. A vibrant wood texture, natural amount of knots, varying colours and core splits make for an especially authentic wood effect as a natural material. The demand for a healthy, close-to-nature living environment has become even stronger with the bio boom and the LOHAS movement. With the expansion with natural planks, as an industry leader HARO is setting the trend for natural, rustic styles and the consistently high demand for long planks in its standard range.

Oil and wood symbiosis
Just as nature has given the trees time to grow, HARO gives its natural planks time to develop authentic surface finishes. For HARO Planks the oil has to dry slowly into the air. The oil penetrates especially intensively here into the individual wood pores and hardens inside the wood into a permanent connector – symbiosis of oil and wood takes place. This complex special treatment is extremely valuable. The floor feels natural and warm, the wood radiates in all of its original form, producing exciting, eyebrow-raising surfaces. The deep impregnation with the natural oil makes the wood’s grain especially intensive, and at the same time the floor also becomes durable and easy to maintain. Dirt, dust and so on are gone in a flash, and damaged spots can be repaired so easily.

What is naturaLin?
naturaLin is a natural oil based on linseed oil. It consists purely of naturally grown raw materials.

Oak dominates
The HARO natural plank range is dominated by oak. The already successfully positioned Sauvage (knots), Barrique (used look) and the classic Markant grades, together with the new Oak Arizona, satisfy the growing demand for this wood species with its rustic look. Black cracks that give the impression that generations upon generations have already left their mark run through the rich, warm colours of the oak wood of HARO’s Arizona Plank. These cracks, produced by a special drying process, are carefully filled with black putty. The treatment with naturaLin plus ultimately intensifies the special charm of this extra special wood floor.

Professional and fast installation
The natural planks are fitted with the new HARO installation system, Top Connect. A new dawn in laying parquet floors has broken with this installation system. Angle in on the long side and fit in on the short side with a little bit of pressure on the surface: that’s how quick and easy the natural planks are laid with the new HARO lock-in system.

2-ply strips with naturaLin
HARO is also continuing to pursue the “natural” topic with its 2-ply strips. New products in various attractive wood species now have the new naturaLin surface finish, whereby there is only one oiling at the factory, and the second oiling is made on-site by the installer. This is what makes this floor such a good basis for “close-to-nature” interior design worlds.

Top connection – Professional and fast installation: HARO Top Connect

Preferences differ when it comes to installation – but everyone wants it be quick and easy! With the new Top Connect installation system from the Rosenheim parquet “livery”, a new dawn has broken in laying parquet floors. Angle in on the long side and fit in on the short side with a little bit of pressure on the surface with no tools: that’s how quick and easy the new HARO lock-in system is laid. In conjunction with the ComforTec innovation presented last year, whereby the adhesive is already on the rear side of the board, this will revolutionise parquet installation. Whether installed as floating floors or fully glued down, with Top Connect and ComforTec, HARO has created the ideal combination of installation speed and professional floor laying.

This impressive duo is also available for all Celenio products, among others. Exciting interior world designs can therefore be realised so quickly and easily with HARO’s exclusive wood tiles.

For introduction in January 2009, HARO is fitting the top sellers among the longstrips, planks and the new planks with naturaLin plus with Top Connect. The quality, design and technology of HARO’s products are therefore all at the same eye level.

The quick plank – HARO presents the new entry segment: Toscana 2500.

Quick installation and high-grade looks at an attractive price: these are the features that will provide the floor that many customers dream of. HARO, Germany’s leading parquet manufacturer, is therefore extending its existing Toscana plank range with six Toscana 2500 products. The new entry segment of the HARO parquet world also features a sandable 2.5 mm top layer. The structure and 4-sided micro bevel, which emphasizes the plank’s design, produce a natural high-quality look. The new Drop Connect installation system, the compact format and the low weight make the installation of the narrow planks so quick and easy. With a total thickness of only 11 mm, HARO Toscana 2500 is also perfect for use in renovations.

Design-freedom included
The dominant wood species here is oak – forever popular and changing. The colour spectrum ranging from bright to dark means that HARO Toscana 2500 can be used in the most diverse buildings and interiors. Rooms can therefore be arranged with top quality floor ambiances completely in accordance with individual wishes and in very little time. The Permadur matt high finish also makes the floor durable and easy to maintain.

Installation can be so quick and easy
Another highlight is HARO’s fastest installation system, Drop Connect, which is only available for the HARO Toscana 2500 planks. Angle in on the long side and fit in on the short side, and you’re done! The combination of a handy format of the narrow planks and Drop Connect optimizes easy installation. The length of only 1,000 mm makes handling and storage so much easier. The classic Oak Markant is also available with Comfortec. As the adhesive is already provided here on the board backing, the floor is installed in nearly half the time of a glue-down installation.?

Showing character – Innovative interior designs with cork floors.

Home offices or living rooms, corridors or attic studios, bedrooms or children’s rooms – a modern cork floor is perfect for almost every residential area, as proven by the HARO 2009 cork floor range. HARO is consequently underscoring its claim as a full range provider in the hard-surface floor area. The floor specialist is now giving this natural material, cork, a new image with fresh modern designs. Whether robust and trendy like a laminate floor or as natural as parquet, the cork floor combines these special features in a very special way.

Functional design
Cork is an impressive material in terms of ecology, building biology and ergonomics. It offers pleasant foot warmth, is extremely durable against all kinds of stresses, and achieves perfect heat and sound insulation. With its high elasticity, the floor has a relieving effect on the joints and spine with every step. HARO, the parquet specialist, now brings two worlds together: an absolutely innovative product is provided with the combination of a wood design surface finish and the warmth and softness of cork.

Is it cork or is it wood?
Well, they certainly are natural, that’s for sure! HARO presents cork floors with digitally printed surface finishes in wood designs. Arteo is available as Stripes, Oak, Oak grey or Walnut. With its modern look in the fingerstrips parquet design, Arteo Stripes will easily win over all lovers of classic industrial architecture.

Naturalness & modernity
A modern ambience and a natural floor do not exclude one another, as demonstrated by the Lagos HARO cork floor with its combination of flat cork specks and structured cork granulate. In the new white and coffee colours, the designated parquet specialist now also caters for the bright and dark design trends with its cork floor range.

HARO benefits
Whether it be laminate and linoleum floors, the exclusive Celenio wood tiles or cork floors, HARO offers an exceptionally wide product range. This brand manufacturer sees itself as a strong partner for the retail trade and offers quality, design competence and diversity, from one single source.

Making floors look good – HARO expands its accessories expertise.

An extensive offering of floor coverings must have a matching range of accessories. HARO now presents an optimised and expanded range of skirtings, mouldings, insulation underlays and care products, which is perfectly harmonised with HARO floor coverings. The sales team of Upper Bavaria’s parquet specialist is right on the trail of the needs and wishes of dealers and tradespeople as a result of its countless meetings and discussions. The result will be presented for the first time at BAU 2009, and its scope and quality will be extremely hard to beat.

Skirtings – clip on and screw
Enhanced in quality and emphasizing straight, modern designs, there are almost 140 different skirtings to choose from. The highlight: there is just one clip for all clip-on skirtings. And they can still also be fixed to the wall with screws if desired. The fact that something is new here can be seen straight away on the packaging – the skirtings are now individually shrink-wrapped and come with coloured labels.

The selection of plastic corners will be expanded and adapted to the product range A total of 14 styles put the icing on the cake for that perfect finish.

Insulation underlay for more comfort in your home
Walking on parquets or laminate floors should be quiet and pleasant. The right insulation underlay significantly reduces footfall sound, which decisively contributes to comfort in the home. HARO satisfies its increased demand with an insulation underlay offering that has now grown even further with eleven products. The Silent Eco innovation is 93% natural raw materials and ensures a healthy indoor climate. Hamberger is therefore emphasizing its resource-friendly orientation – from floors right through to accessories.

Floors and floor maintenance – same quality
To ensure optimum care for the planks and strip parquet with naturaLin finish there are naturaLin Wax and naturaLin Oil for regularly treating the floors. The impregnation with the natural oil intensifies the wood’s grain over time, and at the same time the floor also becomes durable and easy to maintain. Dirt, dust and so on are gone in a flash, and damaged spots can be repaired so easily.

The right kind of presentation
In optimizing the modular shop system and the HARO Premium studio, HARO’s accessories will be representatively integrated with an attention-grabbing display into HARO’s comprehensive floor coverings offering. The investments in the optimized range and its presentation will put more focus on the accessories and ensure more attractive additional sales.
