Domotex – The Major Flooring Exhibition

Domotex, January 17-20, 2015, is a major international flooring exhibition. Exhibitors this
year include:

Balta Broadloom (Hall 6, Stand A30) will launch 10 new broadloom ranges in polypropylene, wool and nylon. These include Royal Sovereign (80% Wool/10% PES/10% PP) in Super (37oz), Deluxe (53oz) and Supreme (65oz) qualities, in 12 plain colours, 4m and 5m wide. A stripe design in three coordinating colours is 4m wide.
Lothian Wool Berber is made from 100% British Wool in eight plain styles 4m and 5m wide and four coordinating stripes 4m wide.
Based on the established Noble Saxony, the new Noble Heathers collection is tufted from 100% StainSafe polypropylene and comes in two backing options (synthetic or Ultratex Quick+ felt) 4m and 5m wide. In 10 natural colours, it incorporates StainSafe to offer a 15-year stain and 10-year wear warranties.
Pop Art, including a giant size sample book, is a new colourful StainSafe stripe in nine striking colourways.
Royal Oxford has a dense heavyweight Saxony pile made from 100% polypropylene X-Tron high performance two-ply yarn, supported by 15-year wear and 20-year stain warranties. In 12 on-trend colours, Royal Oxford is available 4m and 5m wide.
Paramount Twist is another new X-Tron carpet in 12 modern shades, including popular grey, in two-ply yarn 4m and 5m wide. The 100% StainSafe Saxon King comes in 12 fashionable shades 4m and 5m wide.
Balta will also extend its residential carpet tile line, including Mix to the Max in four colours and four qualities that can be ‘mixed to the max’. With a plank dimension of 100x25cm, it can create herringbone and parquet-style layouts. The 50x50cm Smart collection has four new qualities made on the iTuft machine: Smart Step, Smart Art, Smart Patch and Smart Lineo are available in 100% StainSafe polypropylene at an 800g/sq m weight.

Beaulieu Flooring Solutions (Hall 6, Stand F12) for the first time at Domotex, will feature all its divisions, including tufted carpets, fibre bonded and grass carpets, cushion vinyl, laminates, wood and LVT as one big group.
Real, the fibre bonded brand for contract carpet and carpet tiles, will have four novelties on show: The established Ultracord range will be revamped and displayed with extra colours.
Complementing the Primavera, Bedford, Jazz, Can Can, Luxor, Hong Kong and Parade tile ranges, the Real contract tiles collection will be enlarged with Canterbury and York, a rib and velour carpet in eight commercial colours.
The heavy contract ranges Turbo, Avenue and Xeno, all three class 33 products, will be presented with new colourbanks.
In entrance matting, Entry, is a new budget range product. Beaulieu will also launch Turfgrass, the man-made grass brand from its recent take-over Doménech Hermanos, serving several markets including contract.

Danfloor (Hall 6, Stand A35) will showcase its commercial carpet collection, including the newly launched Economix range, which is hardwearing and suitable for the most demanding environments; including the healthcare, education, commercial and hospitality sectors.
Economix is a solution dyed nylon carpet designed to withstand high levels of traffic along with intense commercial cleaning due in part to its ‘33 heavy – commercial use classification.
Designed around the latest colour trend forecasts, Economix also maintains a keen environmental focus by only using Econyl pile fibre, made using 100% regenerated and recycled materials such as abandoned fishing nets.
Maedical i-Link anti-bacteria treatment is applied as standard and along with its textile impervious backing Ti.

Earthwerks (Hall 6, Stand F41) will unveil new 2mm and 2.5mm collections of glue down LVT, comprising nearly 100 new designs and colours. It includes the signature ColorWerks range which is reportedly gaining traction worldwide as colour and vibrancy becomes the primary focus of architects and designers.
ColorWerks is available in 18 colours from subtle white hues to a pulsating rainbow of reds, blues and greens and is reportedly inspired by the multitudinous delicious tones found in Cocktails such as Red Caribbean and Blue Lagoon. Featured collections also include Loose Lay, Clic and classical glue down systems.

emco (Hall 6, Stand D27) will present its Ecoline Pioneer recyclable entrance mat system for indoor and covered outdoor areas.
Ecoline Pioneer features include Cradle to Cradle basic certified and fully recyclable; free recovery when mats need to be replaced; traps dust and dust effectively; available in four colours; can be produced to individual specifications; durable and robust; service mission support; and heavy to very heavy contract.
emco says its Ecoline Pioneer mats can be sent for recycling when they reach the end of their lifecycle. Their components are then separated out and returned to their original purpose as part of a new entrance mat.
This means that reliable recyclable materials can be used to create new raw materials over and over again, which in turn results in high quality products such as the aluminium profile, the polyolifin based layer within the Desso EcoBase backing material and the polyamide 6 yarn.

F Ball and Co (Hall 7, Stand B45) will feature its complete Fast-Track Solutions range of products, including Stopgap F78 rapid drying waterproof surface membrane, Stopgap Fast-Track 30 rapid set and rapid dry smoothing underlayment and the new Styccobond F5 fast-track vinyl floorcovering adhesive.
These products, combined, will reportedly allow a subfloor to be prepared and a vinyl floorcovering to be laid in as little as three hours.
Designed for maximum flexibility when installing a wide range of tile and sheet vinyl floorcoverings in fast-track applications, F5 has a fibre-reinforced formulation that is said to offer excellent initial grab and fast drying properties allowing immediate placement of floorcoverings.
The versatile adhesive also reportedly offers an extended open time of up to 90 minutes. Once a floorcovering has been installed with F5, it is claimed that the area can receive foot traffic straight away, minimising the downtime of the area and offering time and money saving potential for busy flooring installers.
Part of F Ball’s ultimate Fast-Track Solutions system, Styccobond F5 is recommended for use in conjunction with fast-drying Stopgap F78 waterproof surface membrane and Stopgap Fast-Track 30 smoothing underlayment.
F Ball will also launch the 2015 Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG), featuring over 5,500 up-to-date adhesive recommendations for floorcoverings, endorsed by over 200 leading international manufacturers.

Instafloor (Hall 6, Stand H16) will exhibit its high performance, environmentally responsible flooring systems at Domotex for the fifth year. This year its InstaLay, InstaCradle and InstaSport ranges will be displayed and demonstrated on a larger purpose built stand.
InstaLay flooring installation system incorporates a specially developed self-adhesive membrane. With no messy wet adhesives or open time delays, installation is said to be quick, clean and easy and saves significant time and money.
Made from recycled rubber crumb, eco-friendly InstaLay is loose laid, and described as greatly reducing subfloor preparation times, and providing superior comfort and long lasting acoustic performance when used with LVTs, carpet tiles, wood, laminates, bamboo and carpets.
Also featured will be new InstaLay 25hg (2.5mm high grab), developed for use with LVTs. This, together with InstaLay 30 and 50 for carpet tiles and wood flooring, will be demonstrated frequently throughout the show.
InstaCradle acoustic/sprung undercarriage floors and sports floors use a rubber crumb cradle that is guaranteed for 60 years. These adjustable raised floor systems, with a service void, are said to include on-site levelling removing the need for wet screeds.

Lano Carpets (Hall 5, Stand B16) will introduce new ranges in the SmartStrand collection of carpet made from renewable resources.
The company is continuing to develop the range that is said to offer durability, resilience, softness and stain-resistance. SmartStrand carpets are aimed at retailers seeking carpet with a strong environmental message and no trade-off in performance.
The Fascination collection will be expanded with a new Eccelena yarn range, with the introduction of Granada, as well as new polyamide ranges.

Leoline (Hall 6, Stand C30) will introduce new designs for 2015 among its cushion flooring products. In the Tile Styles collection a new mineral design has been launched in Terrazzo in three colourways, dark and light grey and beige.
The established Woodmark range will feature two new designs, with the weathered look of pale wood Azur and the darkened pine of Cardassian, with Azur capturing the coastal look while Cardassian adds a rustic Scandinavian feel.

Primatech (Hall 9, Stand A18) says its cleats and staples give the best penetration-retention ratio through an advanced design combined with high quality steel (some stainless steel also available).
The company’s Pro and Expert nailers and staplers are designed to enable the users to enjoy more precision, better control, less fatigue, easy on-site maintenance and a low cost of ownership.
The Pro family features the classic 330 manual nailer, the 180 pneumatic adjustable stapler and the new pneumatic 245 nailer-stapler.
The Expert family offers the versatile pneumatic 250 and 550, high performance nailers, staplers and Gym flooring tools said to offer maximum durability and speed.
The Primpact powered firing mechanism, which auto regulates the penetration of the fastener, is claimed to achieve the closest reach to end walls. A complete set of enhancement accessories is available to customise the tools.

Wools of New Zealand (Hall 5, Stand B12) will feature its Laneve branded yarn, carpet and rug ranges, including the new Midas Rug Collection using Aulana, which is Laneve wool coloured with fine particles of pure gold to shift light into delicate shades of grey, pink and purple.
The Wool Innovation awards for rugs, carpets and yarn will also be featured. Open to co-exhibitors, each entry has to be commercially available and be either a Laneve or Wools of New Zealand branded product. Entries will be judged by leading trade figures and journalists, and will be marked on innovation, colour, styling and texture.
The range receiving most votes will receive the Wools of New Zealand Innovation Award 2015 with awards for Best Laneve range; Best Wools of New Zealand range and Best Wool Yarn Innovation.
Eight co-exhibitor areas on the Wools of New Zealand stand include: Brockway will show new wool loops and wool twists, and will also showcase its new point of sale display units. Flock will unveil innovative, contemporary designs in an on-trend colour palette, including a number designed by Wools of New Zealand design studio exclusively for Flock.
Cormar will showcase its Wools of New Zealand Home Counties Plains collection. Manufactured from 80% pure New Zealand wool, 10% tuftbond and 10% polypropylene, this collection is a premier quality tenth gauge carpet in two pile weights (42oz and 50oz), making it suitable for high traffic areas such as stairways and hallways. Cavalier will launch Gemini, an addition to its Couture Collection.
On the spinning side, there are three partners: Danspin, a leading European woollen spinning mill, will highlight its Laneve ranges. Martinelli offers a wide range of yarns suitable for tufting and weaving. Its innovative yarns feature a range of customised colours.
Grentex, recognised by the Government of India since 2007, is the only Laneve brand partner, spinner in the whole of Asia and has won several awards for yarn export to the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East.
Modra Technology, new to the stand this year, will demonstrate on the stand the latest Hollow needle tufting machine. Gaskell Wool Rich will launch Faroe, a co-ordinated patterned texture Wools of New Zealand collection comprising three ranges in nine colours and nine tri-colour patterns in Nordic tones and variegated textures.
