The Flooring Show 2018
The Flooring Show – UK’s national flooring event, is getting ready at full speed for its 56th edition. It will be held in Harrogate between 16th and 18th September. The stand sales are amazingly ahead of 2017 by 16%, and some long-term supporters are increasing their stand sizes and are being joined by returning companies.
A total 83% of exhibitors from 2017 have already rebooked for 2018 among which are Karndean, Lano, Furlong Flooring, Victoria, Brockway, Ball & Young, F Ball, Interfloor and Egger. Some new participants also confirmed including IVC, Staingard, Floortrain, Barth 1873, NMC UK and Home Creations.
It will be exciting to see companies such as IVC return to the show, having a break from it for many years, but it will be equally satisfying to be able to accommodate the space increases with loyal customers like Cormar, Abingdon, Whitestone Weavers, and Distinctive Flooring.
This year’s floorplan is being changed to accommodate that space size increases, which in turn will open new opportunities for other manufacturers to participate in the event or move halls. The show team has been meeting with the exhibitors, the supporters and The Trade Associations listening and discussing to more fresh and new ideas for attracting even more key retailers to the show.
As per the testimonials from the 2017 show, The Flooring Show has a solid base of support all throughout the industry, but there is always a need to improve further. By working side by side with the industry, the show team will continue to add to the show’s content while simultaneously attract more visitors.
The Flooring Show is the biggest event in the industry’s calendar and is widely recognised as the key sales and networking event for the flooring industry. It will continue to bring the retail and contract flooring sectors together with key industry bodies like the Contract Flooring Association, The Flooring Industry Training Association, The National Institute of Carpet & Floorlayers, and to host the Carpet Fitter of the Year final during the show.
