Mayor Drops In At Carpet Cleaners Funeral

THE fourth annual carpet cleaners’ carnival this year was visited by the Mayor of Kettering as the event was held at Wicksteed Park in the Northamptonshire town.
The mayor, accompanied by the mayoress, spoke to exhibitors and visitors at the ‘family-friendly’ carnival well supported by members of the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA), who brought their partners, friends and children.
The accompanying exhibition was supported by carpet cleaning product manufacturers, suppliers and associated trades and services. A new feature in 2014 were seminars with speakers on a range of topics, including technical aspects of cleaning, marketing and business advice.
The carnival included children’s activities with fairground and playground. And for those wanting a breath of fresh air there was a lakeside area and acres of beautiful parkland.
Over £800 was raised at the event for Kirsty’s Kids charity to help sick and underprivileged children run by NCCA member John Bryden.
Paul Pearce, ceo of the NCCA, thanked everyone who attended, plus those who exhibited, hosted seminars and local businesses who were present. He expressed the hope that next year’s carnival would be even bigger and better. T: 0116 271 9550
