Flooringcovering and tile adhesives are designed for a range of surfaces:

Bona supplies a range of silane based reactive adhesives for all types of wood floor.
Bona R850 is a high spec product, which has reportedly been used to successfully install hundreds of thousands of square metres of wood flooring around the world.
It is described as easy to use with excellent rib stability, suitable for use on most substrates and won’t stain pre-finished surfaces.
When a more economical adhesive is required, Bona R844 is a formulation based on R850 but adjusted to render it suitable as a specialist adhesive for engineered flooring.
R844 is also said to be non-staining and with an ‘excellent health and safety profile’.
Bostik Laybond offers a range of professional flooring adhesives combining high quality with specialist performance.
The company has adhesives for a wide range of flooring applications from carpet tiles to underlays, fibre bonded to linoleum and vinyl sheet to LVT products.
Two of the range, Vinyl adhesive and Carpet Tile Tackifier, were used by Premier Carpets & Flooring, a member of the CFA, as part of a refurbishment at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.

The company’s vinyl acrylic dispersion adhesive is formulated to produce a high degree of tack in dry film and to minimise the effects of plasticiser migration.
It is said to be suitable for all vinyl floorcoverings with the advantage of bonding most types of carpet.
Laybond Carpet Tile Tackifier is a solvent-free non staining polymer dispersion adhesive designed to provide a permanently tacky film when dry to facilitate the removal and replacement of carpet tiles without application of further adhesive.
Kerakoll UK has a comprehensive range of high performance flooring adhesives for wood, laminate, vinyl, textile and ceramic, all developed to be as friendly to the environment and human health as possible.
The Slc range for hardwood flooring comprises seven adhesives with different characteristics for different situations, including heated and flexible substrates.
The range for resilient materials consists of 11 different adhesives for use with PVC, rubber, vinyl, carpeting and linoleum in a variety of substrates.
It includes Slc Eco PU 70 and SP70 both said to be suitable for laying artificial turf on outside pitches and three variations of Slc Eco S45 for creating coving sections when laying between walls and floors and on stairs and corners.
H40 Eco range includes nine adhesives formulated to perform to an extremely high standard in different situations. H40 Eco Rapid reportedly does not sacrifice workability even though it is designed for use where a quick turn around is needed.
H40 Eco Flex is reportedly suitable for use on substrates prone to movement, and H40 Eco Rapidflex combines both these two qualities in what is reported to be the first single-component, cement based product to be classified as P2 under ISO EN 13007-2.
All white adhesives in the range use recycled Carrara to create a pure white colour and smooth spreading texture; this makes H40 Eco Marmorex and H40 Eco Ideal suitable for use with delicate marbles and other natural stone.
The final two products are H40 Eco Tenaflex which, it is claimed, will not fail even on substrates that are permanently damp, and H40 Eco Flotex, described as an easy to spread adhesive which covers the backs of tiles fully without the need for back buttering.
Mapei says its Ultrabond Eco adhesives range includes six solutions for the fast, safe and reliable bonding of carpet, vinyl and rubber, PVC and linoleum.
All products are said to offer a raft of health and eco-benefits. The solvent-free formulas are water-based, non-flammable and have ultra-low VOC emissions. They are also said to be non-staining and suitable for high traffic environments, as well as application with underfloor heating.
Part of Mapei’s Green Innovation programme, the range includes Ultrabond Eco 170 for carpets and Ultrabond Eco 380 for PVC, which each create a high initial bond, and acrylic-based Ultrabond Eco 520, for linoleum.
Ultrabond Eco Tack is designed for carpet tile application and said to retain a tacky film for easy removal and replacement of carpet tiles.
High temperature acrylic adhesive, Ultrabond Eco VS90 bonds vinyl sheet and tile, PVC-backed carpet, rubber sheet and tiles, whilst pressure sensitive, multi-purpose adhesive Ultrabond Eco Fix is for temporary fixing of PVC, vinyl, carpet and underlay.
Mapei has also introduced a high performance adhesive, Ultrabond Eco 4 LVT, a high temperature, solvent-free, fibre-reinforced adhesive designed for bonding internal LVT and PVC floors, and semi-flexible vinyl tiles. Its smooth formulation is said to promote fast, safe application on a wide variety of substrates, providing a high initial bond for rapid flooring fixing.
All products carry EC1 GEV Emicode labelling for ultra-low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Installers working in close proximity to the adhesives reportedly aren’t subjected to any harmful gases and occupiers/visitors will not be affected by harmful emissions once installations are complete.
Recent applications include Highfield and Penn Fields School, where Mapei products contributed to a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent.’

It is a water-based product, described as offering long open time as well as good bond strength, and is suitable for laying felt, hessian, rubber, gel and latex backed carpets.
Floorcoverings remain a key feature to most interior décors and represent a significant investment for the building owner.
It is in the best interests of the customer and their specialist flooring contractor to utilise adhesives and other materials which ensure their enduring success in use.

Ultra Tile adhesives and grouts are recommended and approved by fitted kitchen and bathroom company, Gardners, which provides retail, design and fit services in Tamworth.
Gardners’ recently refitted its showroom.
The new interior was created using Ultra Tile adhesives and grouts and Ultra Floor subfloor preparation products.
Throughout the showroom, a selection of tiles in various sizes, type and designs were then fixed with ProRapid PB adhesive in grey. Gardners also sells the materials and uses them for their fitting services.
Proprietor, Colin Gardner states: ‘Ultra Tile offers a full range for all conditions with products to suit any job!’
Gardners benefit from Ultra Tile’s delivery service but also uses the company’s collection facility being nearby.

Uzin says it provides high quality yet affordable products. Uzin KE 2560UK is described as a powerful solvent-free carpet adhesive which can be used to install all common carpets and textile coverings within interior locations.
It is said to have a quick initial grab yet be easy to spread and produces a high final strength for reliable installation.
It can also be used to install carpets over warm water underfloor heating systems and allows carpets to be cleaned using spray extraction cleaning systems.
Uzin KE 2560UK is part of the Uzin selection of 15 products, designed to cover 90% of floorlayers’ everyday requirements.
The range of products forms the basis of the Uzin loyalty scheme in which points can be exchanged for gift cards for products from high street retailers, supermarkets, travel companies or spa and event days.
